Waterbed Drawers Does A Waterbed Matress Absolutely Have To Go In A Frame? (I Cannot Afford The Frame And Pedestal Right Now.)?

Does a waterbed matress absolutely have to go in a frame? (I cannot afford the frame and pedestal right now.)? - waterbed drawers

I would like the mattress, but now I need to save for a few months to get the chassis and container, which significantly more expensive. But my back is killing me and I need a new mattress now!

  1. Yes, a waterbed needs a framework. The mattress is essentially an envelope, and no structural support built in. The framework will be available. You can damage the mattress when they use without a frame. The seams are difficult, but offers no support.

If your old mattress is too soft (I meet is a regular bed), try a piece of wood between the mattress and box spring. There are a lot. Remember also to receive one foam topper, and there are some extra padding.

Idea, part of the local Freecycle group and see if someone is a water bed frame that they want rid of him is. I have a queen size frame with shelf and drawers for everything. Need refinishing, but my husband like to work on things like that and be nice! It could be about $ 40 in sandpaper, dyeing and finishing, but it's cheap to buy a new comparisons! And her husband is already making plans to use the bed frame made of old wood. We are recycling, re-think possible. Iss good for the environment and much easier on the pocket!

  2. Cover the bottom with a heavy blanket to protect the mattress and use ... without problems. Make sure that the soil can to what the waterbed before you buy! Figure 8.3 pounds per gallon of water. Happy Holidays
